I was born in McKinney. Graduated from McKinney High School. Started my career in the Agriculture industry as a tractor mechanic. Went into business with my brother in the grocery business, where we operated two locations, as well as other businesses for over 15 years. 

 I was a baseball umpire, at the high school and college levels for 25 years. Working with student athletes was very rewarding. I served on the board of directors, as treasurer, with the Collin County Baseball Umpires Association, for 4 years. I'm a member of the National Association of Realtors, Texas Association of Realtors and the Collin County Association of Realtors.
